Westerville is located in both Franklin and Delaware Counties in Ohio and has a population of over 35,000 residents. It is considered one of the largest suburbs of Columbus, Ohio and about 16 miles away from the big city. At one time in history during and after prohibition up until 2006, Westerville was known as the “Dry Capital of the World.”
Although Westerville is a suburb of Columbus, the city does very well on its own economically with businesses like Cheryl & Co., Worthington Industries and American Ceramic Society. Much of the city is based on small town values and has family themed neighborhoods and subdivisions to represent that. For one-of-a-kind type of shops, there’s “Uptown Westerville” with small boutiques and locally owned stores. There are plenty of parks and recreation centers throughout town for families that are all well maintained, which helped make Westerville #46 on Money Magazines 100 Best Places to live in 2007.
